About Alym
Alym is a Vancouver-based business professor with a background in cognitive systems and a flair for edutainment. He teaches accounting, data analytics, and information systems at the University of British Columbia, Langara College, and Kwantlen Polytechnic University—and he’s just as comfortable in the lecture hall as he is on stage with a deck of cards.
Formerly at Deloitte and now a national voice on academic integrity in the age of AI, Alym is the co-author of ChatGPT Ate My Homework and a recipient of the Distinguished Teaching Award at KPU. His talks, workshops, and courses are grounded in data, rich in humor, and designed to leave audiences thinking differently—about tech, teaching, and tomorrow.
