1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using alym.com and its related services (including subdomains and ecosystem properties like logicdefied.com, brewedawakening.app, and ctrlaltdefeat.app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

alym.com provides educational resources, tools, and services including:

• Educational content, books, and resources related to AI in education
• The Faculty Toolkit: a collection of teaching resources and templates
• Active learning simulations (Brewed Awakening, CtrlAltDefeat, and others)
• The AI Disclosure Tool for managing AI use transparency in education
• Workshops, keynotes, and professional development services

3. Accounts

Some services require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.

4. Institutional Licenses

Institutional licenses are governed by separate license agreements between alym.com and the subscribing institution. Individual users accessing services through an institutional license are subject to both these Terms and any additional terms set by their institution.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, simulations, tools, and resources provided through our services are the intellectual property of Alym Amlani unless otherwise noted. You may use resources for personal educational purposes in accordance with your license type.

• Free Resources: May be used in your own teaching with attribution.
• Toolkit Resources: Licensed for use by the individual or institution holding the license. May not be redistributed.
• Simulations: Licensed for use by authorized individuals and institutions. Source code and game mechanics may not be copied or reproduced.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account
• Redistribute licensed content without authorization
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from simulations or tools
• Use our services for any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with the operation of our services or other users' access

7. Payments and Refunds

Paid services (toolkit access, institutional licenses, simulation access) are billed as described at the time of purchase. Subscription services renew automatically unless cancelled. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 14 days of purchase.

8. Disclaimer

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Educational content and tools are designed to support teaching and learning but do not constitute professional advice. We do not guarantee specific educational outcomes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, alym.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
